Giving the Assistant context
Let's give context—important documents, internal tools—to your AI Assistant so it can answer the important questions in your business.
In this lesson, you’ll make your AI Assistant far more useful by giving it context. Instead of just sending any question to AI, the AI can use internal documents (think sales guidelines, vacation policies, product documentation, etc.), tools (Salesforce, Hubspot), or web pages (online documentation) to correctly answer questions.
Here’s what you’ll set up:
- Add context: Add a reader node (Google Docs, Salesforce etc.) or a scraper node for webpages to grab the information the AI needs.
- Add the context to the prompt: Include the necessary documentation into the prompt of the Ask AI node.
By the end of this lesson, your assistant won’t just give generic answers—it’ll become a helpful teammate that can look up and return real information from your docs or sites. Next, you’ll learn how to make sure it only responds when it should, instead of replying to every single message.
